Frita de pulpo
Steps
Frita de pulpo, commonly called "frita de polp" in Ibicenco, is one of the most emblematic dishes of Ibiza.
You can find it as a tapa or as a unique dish, and it is offered in many places on the island.
Here we explain how to prepare it.
First, boil the octopus in plenty of water for approximately one hour.
In the meantime, put some oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion over low heat. When the onion is golden brown, add the chopped peppers and the unpeeled garlic cloves together with the bay leaf.
When the octopus is ready, chop it and add it to the casserole.
Mix all the ingredients well and season with salt and pepper.
Add the chopped and previously fried potatoes and mix again.
Leave to cook for a few more minutes over a low heat, and enjoy!
