Steps
If you are a coffee lover, you can't miss "Café Caleta", typical in Ibiza and essential to close any lunch or dinner.
A clay pot is essential for its preparation, as it is not prepared in the usual coffee machine but in a clay pot with great dedication.
The ingredients include brandy, rum, cinnamon, lemon and orange peel, and coffee beans.
You can enjoy "Café Caleta" in many restaurants, although it is not always offered on restaurant menus, but some restaurants prepare it on request.
To prepare it at home, we will have to heat the water to boiling, turn off the fire after adding the ground coffee, let it remain for a quarter of an hour.
Meanwhile, caramelise the sugar in a saucepan and add the brandy and rum. When it comes to the boil, add the lemon and orange peel, the coffee beans and the cinnamon stick.
Cook until the flame turns blue, stirring constantly.
Add the coffee and serve very hot.
