The second Gastro Event was on October 24th with Joan Fluxá. Participants were able to get to know first-hand the ingredients and the elaboration of the traditional and successful “Hierbas de Ibiza”. The owner, Joan Fluxà, explained the different properties of the plants to obtain unique Ibizan herbs, in an entertaining outdoor tour. Later, Joan explained the procedure to make the precious liquor that the attendees followed step by step, making their own bottle of Hierbas Ibicencas, which will be ready to drink in about three months.
To finish the workshop, Joan gave a demonstration of preparation of the also known “Café Caleta” that those present could taste accompanied by some delicious ”buñuelos”. In addition, Joan gave each of the attendees a symbolic diploma, as expert producers of “Hierbas Ibicencas”.
